The fastest ways to level up weapons in Destiny 2 (2022)
Crafting has given Destiny 2 players a lot of freedom since its release. Each Guardian must reach a certain number of deep vision requirements to unlock the pattern they want to create. But the hard work begins after the Guardians have their weapons.
Every crafted gear starts with level 1, which must be leveled up in multiple ways. Leveling up crafted gear unlocks more normal and enhanced perks, with a max level of 16. Primary and special weapons require around 140 kills per level, while heavy weapons require 80 kills.
This article lists the best ways to level up your crafted weapons so you can access all the perks you want in addition to the improved ones.

The best places to quickly upgrade crafted weapons in Destiny 2 (2022)
1) Grasp of Avarice starting point
The Grasp of Avarice Dungeon was introduced in December last year. It still serves many purposes for players in terms of leveling up weapons and calibrating catalysts. Many see it as the new "captivity" where Guardians can get endless spawns of enemies like Hive Wizards, Thralls and Knights.
The trick here is not to get engrams dropped from enemies, as it will initiate a cooldown that can lead to death. After spawning in Grasp of Avarice's first location, you can go to the loot cave and have enemies spawn inside.
A group of minions and other Hive enemies will run towards you. You can kill them to count towards leveling progress. Avoid going inside the cave as it stops enemies from spawning.
If you get any engrams, let the countdown end. This will kill you so you can start over. There are no deletion mechanics in this match.
2) Activities
Running back-to-back playlist events in Destiny 2 can be a good way to level up weapons. All three activities include Gambit, Vanguard Strikes, and Crucible, which provide an 18% to 20% improvement in leveling a weapon. Note that you must have the weapon equipped at the end of the activity to get EXPs.
You can also switch to a crafted weapon just before the event ends, which will give you EXP, apart from killing enemies.
The best activity for passively leveling up while wielding your weapons is the Potted Team. Each match takes seven minutes to complete, which guarantees EXP on each completion.
3) Shuro Chi encounter in the Last Wish raid
The Shuro Chi encounter in the Last Wish Raid is one of the most popular events for calibrating catalysts and leveling up weapons. Throws enough enemies to level up quickly, and each run takes about two to three minutes.
You can obtain a checkpoint from LFG for this encounter, or refer to the image below to jump directly to the boss' entrance.
For level 16, you'll need to score around 2,250 kills in total for weapons with special and primary ammo. For heavy ammo, the number is somewhere around 1,300.
