Upcoming Genshin Impact map Sumeru leaked before official tease
Finally the time has come! Major Genshin Impact leaks featuring Sumeru have finally arrived ahead of the official teaser/announcement. It's been a long time since there has been a lot of new content for travelers to check out, but today, June 29, has been a busy day in that regard.
The veracity of this new leak remains to be seen, but if true, players are definitely in for a treat. Various recent leaks also show the real environment (especially the greener side of the new region).
Genshin Impact Sumeru leaks show the future has a lot to offer
The first leak to be discussed includes a map leak alongside a screenshot of the new region. The picture on the left has lots of grass and hills, almost reminiscent of Mondstadt except for more flowers in the front. This image was also seen in some Tighnari-related leaks, where the player can see the in-game model of Tighnari looking into the distance.
The second leaked image shows the map in some Chinese letters. Fortunately for Genshin Impact players, some translations are available for the tweet below.
This leak shows the names of four new main locations in Sumeru. The World Conservation Forest is on the northernmost side of the map, and the Second Clearance Area is located in the northwest part. Below the Second Purification Field is the Plain of Goodness. Adana River Valley is to the right of the Goodness Plain.
It remains to be seen what Genshin Impact players can expect from each of these new prime locations, as these are just preliminary leaks. A lot of new content has to be announced in the coming days, so players need to be patient to learn more.
On a related note, a leaker claimed that Genshin Impact 3.0's Sumeru will be about half to three-quarters the size of Liyue. Based on the current map leak, this appears to be true as players can see Sumeru next to The Chasm and the southern part of Liyue in the same image.
The same leaker would go on to say in future updates that the entire region will eventually be bigger than Liyue. This indicates that what Travelers are currently seeing is not the whole package.
Adding this new map leak to Teyvat's map will give Travelers something similar to the one seen in the image above. It fits nicely, but players should note that this leak is currently unconfirmed.
Still, there are some interesting aspects of Sumeru that players talk about. For example, the giant lake east of the new area is larger than The Chasm. Some players are wondering what kind of content awaits them there (which can be said for any other location in this new region).
The area is described as a mix of desert and rainforest, so it will be interesting to see what it looks like as more Genshin Impact leaks arrive. As of now, the screenshots available focus on more general grassy areas.
