Where to find Jar Bairn in Elden Ring?

Elden Ring has several quests that involve interacting with NPCs. Some quests are triggered by talking to different NPCs. While completing the quests in a specific questline, players will eventually encounter the NPC known as Jar Bairn.

The questline in question depends on Iron Fist Alexander and Diallos. This is a new non-playable character that was added to the FromSoftware header after it was released with patch 1.03.

Jar Bairn can be a little difficult to find, but after Stormveil Castle it can almost always be done in the game. The character sits atop a wall in Jarburg, Liurna of the Lakes.

How to reach Jar Bairn at Elden Ring

After passing through Stormveil Castle, players can travel from Limgrave to the Liurna of the Lakes region. There are several Places of Blessings in this area and important places to know about.

When it comes to finding Jar Bairn, players should know that he is just north of Stormveil Castle and on the border of the area. Moving north from Stormveil Castle will pass players past the Cliffbottom Catacombs and the Highway Watchtower.

Farther north than that are the Artist's Cabin, the Karian Study Hall, and the Divine Tower of Liurnia. However, players need to actively search for the NPC. Players can come to these points of interest and completely miss Jar Bairn's place.

Assuming an Elden Ring player started in Stormveil Castle while trying to find the NPC, here is the walkthrough:

• Go north from the castle
• Follow the road just west of the body of water
• Take the correct route at the fork in Liurnia Highway North Grace District
• Move north again through the small woodland
• If the players reach the Karya Study Hall and see it on the right, it means they have gone too far.
• Just south of the Carian Study Hall is NPC Iron Fist Alexander.
• Northeast of Iron Fist Alexander is the town of Jarburg.
• To the southwest of Jarburg sits Jar Bairn

Jar Bairn hangs on a wall. It looks like a small pot, almost like a scaled-down version of Iron Fist Alexander. Talking to Jar Bairn starts or continues a quest depending on what the player is doing in the story.
