The iPhone 15 series will have double holes similar to the iPhone 14 Pro models
The iPhone 15 series will have double holes similar to the iPhone 14 Pro models
The iPhone 14 will be released in the second half of the year and the lineup is said to include a total of four models, just like in the last few years.
However, this time there will be no mini version. Now, while we wait for the announcement, rumors about next year's iPhone models have surfaced online. The report sheds light on key details about the display of the iPhone 15 series. According to the Omida report (via), Apple will introduce iPhone models (probably called iPhone 15) next year with the same screen sizes as the iPhone 14 series.
The report also reveals that the perforated groove will continue to be a part of the iPhone 15 display. This won't come as a surprise for next year, as Apple is said to be replacing the notch with a punch/pill-shaped cutout on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models.
iPhone 15 screen details flew
The Omdia report claims that next year's iPhone models will have the same screen sizes as the upcoming iPhone 14 series. According to rumors, the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro will have a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the new iPhone 14 Max will have a 6.7-inch screen, respectively.
If the details mentioned in the report are correct, we will see that the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro have a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Max have a 6.7-inch screen. Unlike this year, the hole punch cut will be on all four models. Non-Pro models this year will have a wide notch similar to the iPhone 13 models.
The report also states that Apple lags behind the competition in under-display camera technology. Previously, there were rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro models will not have a cutout on the screen and Face ID sensors will be placed under the screen. Things may change and it's too early to draw conclusions, as the iPhone 15 series isn't out until next year.
