Best Genshin Impact Kokomi build for 2.6
Want to know what is the best Genshin Impact Kokomi build?
Sangonomiya Kokomi appeared in a poster alongside Raiden Shogun as part of the second half of the latest 2.5 update. While you're busy collecting Kokomi's ascension materials, you can also seek help in deciding how best to equip her.
The five-star Hydrocatalyst user is the leader of the Sangonomiya Resistance and is located on Watatsumi, one of the Inazuma islands introduced in Genshin Impact 2.1. She shares many similarities with Barbara and is often used as a supporting character, but there's room for her to be more than just a healer in the best Genshin Impact Kokomi build. Kokomi's abilities can surprise people with her base skill damage potential that scales with her maximum health.
Currently at A level on our Genshin Impact rank list – we think it's pretty valuable at the right lot. The recent release of bleeding monsters didn't have the game-changing effect people think, but that doesn't mean healers aren't useful. Read on for our thoughts on the best Kokomi builds.
GENSHIN IMPACT KOKOMI SUPPORT STRUCTURE
- Best Genshin Impact Kokomi support structure:
- Catalyst: Exciting Tales of Dragon Slayers
- Artifacts: Millelith's Endurance (four parts)
When you switch from Kokomi wielding this weapon to another character, the incoming character's attack is increased by up to 48% for 10 seconds, this alone is a powerful buff. This effect can only be used every 20 seconds, but in the meantime, there's a lot more Kokomi can do.
The four-piece Millelith's Endurance artifact set significantly increases her support abilities. When equipped, when an Elemental Skill hits an enemy, all nearby party members' attack is increased by 20% and Shield Power is increased by 30% for three seconds. This effect can be triggered every 0.5 seconds and can even trigger when Kokomi is out of the field.”
Kokomi's Elemental Skill is Kurage's Oath that summons a Baked Kurage (baby jellyfish) that lasts 12 seconds even when Kokomi is not on the field. Deals Hydro damage to surrounding enemies and heals nearby active characters for a set amount based on Kokomi's maximum HP. Between the Millelith set, the Dragon Slayer catalyst, and Babe-Kurage himself's abilities, there are already some good buff combinations that empower them no matter who you choose to bring in when Kokomi leaves the field.
When your Babe-Kurage is running out of water, you can bring back Kokomi and trigger her Elemental Burst, Nereid's Ascension. While this ability is pretty good on its own, the real benefit lies in its interaction with Tamanooya's Coffin, one of Kokomi's passive abilities that resets Babe-Kurage's timer when the explosion is triggered.
Elemental Burst also grants Kokomi the Ceremonial Garmade buff while on the field, empowering her Bake-Kurage and allowing party members to restore HP through normal or charged attacks.
Nereid's effects will go away when you remove him from the field, but Dragon Slayer's ability will re-trigger, giving 48% more boost to attack the next incoming - rinse and replay and you'll have yourself a pretty good DPS-boost combination.
Other Kokomi build options that focus on lower DPS strategies include pairing the Everlasting Moonglow catalyst with the relatively new Ocean-Hued Clam four-piece set. This taps into Kokomi's ability to heal party members fairly easily and allows for a devastating explosion that will deal damage based on the amount of healing Kokomi can throw out.
BEST KOKOMI TEAM COMPOSITION
Ayaka and Kazuha are some of the better DPS characters to pair up with Kokomi in a supporting role. Kazuha, for example, can activate the vortex elemental reaction and deal a lot of damage on her own. Ayaka can freeze 'Wet' enemies (which Kokomi will usefully provide) and can perform powerful Cryo attacks. Both will receive additional buffs from Kokomi's Dragon Slayer key buff and the Babe-Kurage and Millicent combo effect.Raiden Shogun's base ability harmonizes well with Kazuha, giving him a powerful damage buff to eliminate enemies even faster. You can also get Shenhe, another Cryo character, for 'Freeze' team comps that focus on Hydro/Cryo combinations. Our Genshin Impact elements guide breaks down all the basic reactions so you can get an idea of how this should work.
BEST KOKOMI F2P STRUCTURE
The great thing about the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers catalyst is that it's free-to-play as a three-star weapon available in Beginner's Wish alongside standard and all other special event banners.Heart of Depth's four-piece set increases normal and stack attack damage by 30% for 15 seconds, in addition to the 15% Hydro damage increase that can be useful with Kokomi's Elemental Blast. A two-part Heart of Depth can also be paired with a two-part Maiden Beloved, increasing the healing by 15%.
In terms of team composition, an Electro Traveler build is a good alternative to Raiden Shogun, and Lisa and Kaeya are also good free Genshin Impact characters to pair with Kokomi. A cheaper alternative might be the four-star Sucrose, which can use Anemo abilities to smash enemies together.
And that's all you need to create the best Kokomi build in Genshin Impact.
