Dragons will always be present in the Miyazaki & George RR Martin production. Elden Ring's scaly creatures drop Dragon Hearts, here's where you can find and use them all!As you progress through the Elden Ring, your Tarnished will encounter many truly ferocious enemies. Some of the most awe-inspiring include dragons roaming the Lands In Between.
These monsters come in many different varieties, each with their own unique abilities and behaviors. But once you kill them, you will be given an unexpected gift: their hearts.
Dragon Hearts are key to certain character builds in Elden Ring, and they are finite, meaning you can't group them like you can in Runes.
Here are the Dragons you need to extract hearts from.
Heart Dropping All Elden Ring Dragons
The Dragons on this list will be categorized by their position in-game, starting with the areas most players will likely visit first.- Limgrave
- Flying Dragon Agheel (Fire, x1 Heart) – If you haven't strayed from the wild path, this monster should be the first Dragon you encounter. The Bloody Finger Hunter is descending into the center of Limgrave Lake as Yura will warn you .
- Liurnia of the Lakes
- Glitstone Dragon Smarag (Magic, x1 Heart) – Continuing White Mask Varre's questline northwest of Rose Church, you will find Smarag sleeping next to a rocky ledge.
- Magma Wyrm Makar (Fire, x1 Heart) – From Liurnia, proceed along the north river and climb the Abyss of Ruins. The boss of this region, which is also one of the two paths to the Altus Plateau, drops a Dragon Heart.
Liurnia Mission Areas
The Dragons below can only be reached by following Ranni the Witch's questline, which will give you access to the higher reaches of Liurnia.Glintstone Dragon Adula (Magic, x3 Hearts) – Adula is initially found in the Three Sisters, but once you lower her health, she will teleport to the Manus Celes Cathedral, accessible later in the quest.
Nameless Dragons (Magic, x1 Heart each) – There are three common Dragons west of Moonlight Alter. Unlike the other nameless Dragons in the Elden Ring, these drop one Heart each.
Gelmir Mountain

- Giants' Heights
- Borealis, Freezing Mist (Frostbite, x1 Heart) – Borealis is located on the frozen lake, in the far north-east of the map. The lake is large, so you will have no trouble finding it.
- Great Wyrm Theodorix (Fire, x3 Hearts) – Despite its frozen location north of the amazing Albinauric Rise, it deals Great Wyrm Fire damage Prepare accordingly.
