Elden Ring: How to Complete the Jar Bairn Quest and Get the Companion Jar Talisman

Jar Bairn is a brand new NPC in Elden Ring and adds a new quest. Here's how to complete the Jar Bairn questline and get the Companion Jar Talisman.


The In-between Lands of Elden Ring are huge. There are not only many different places to explore, but also many side quests to be found.

Once you know how to follow the quests in Elden Ring, you'll want to seek out all the side quests as they can reward you with powerful items.

The latest side quest in the game about the new NPC Jar Bairn rewards you with comrade Jar Talisman. Here's how to complete Jar Bairn's questline and get this awesome reward!

How to Complete the Jar Bairn Quest in Elden Ring

Completing the Jar Bairn Quest consists of several steps. You will need to visit Jarburg, talk to Diallos and Volcano Manor, and even go to Crumbling Farum Azula to complete it!

You will need to go to Jarburg first. It is located in Liurnia, east of the Lakes, and you can safely land there by carefully jumping over the pillars hanging from the cliff.
Talk to the jar sitting on the stairs – this is Jar Bairn.
Choose the answer “I will be your Potetnate” and Jar Bairn will check your hands and tell you that your skin is very rough.
Keep talking to him and go through all the dialogue options – he will ask you to pick flowers.
Then, to continue Jar Bairn's quest, Diallos must have returned from Volcano Mansion. This takes several steps.
First, talk to Diallos in Roundtable Hold.
Then, just north of the Academy Gate Town Site of Grace, he found Diallos and his maid, Lanya.
Talk to Diallos again in Roundtable Hold and he will go to Volcano Manor.
You will need to know how to get to Volcano Mansion, as you can find Diallos in the Drawing Room there.
Complete Volcano Manor contracts or defeat Lord of Blasphemy boss Rykard to get Diallos to go to Jarburg.

• Once Diallos enters one of the smaller huts in Jarburg, you can begin the second part of the Jar Bairn Elden Ring quest. You will then need to travel to another location and then return.
• When you come back, the town will be damaged. Talk to Diallos and Jar Bairn and hear everything they have to say.
• Travel back and forth through town a few more times and you'll find that a poacher has visited Jarburg and has broken many pots. Moreover, Diallos dies after defeating the poacher.
• Tell Diallos you're defending the jars.
• Travel far and return to Jarburg and talk to Jar Bairn - he will tell you he wants to be a warrior.
• Then, when you reach Crumbling Farum Azula, you need to defeat the other jar, Iron Fist Alexander (after completing the questline).
• Give Alexander's Innards back to Jar Bairn sitting on the stairs.
• Move away and then return to this spot on the stairs and pick up the Comrade Jar Talisman.
