Elden Ring: How to Use Mimic's Veil to Leverage Artificial Intelligence, Troll PvP
Here's how you can use Mimic's Veil to take advantage of Elden Ring janky AI and troll PvP players.
Picture the scene: you are surrounded by a group of enemies, your HP is in the single digits and all hope seems lost. Other than that, the AI soldiers have stopped waving their weapons and are mindlessly looking at each other.
Also, you're a potted plant now…?
No, you haven't eaten any of the Molten Mushrooms you collected while passing through Nokron. But instead, you equip Mimic's Veil and send the enemy AI into a stun.
And all this using a completely legitimate in-game item obtainable as early as the first Legacy Dungeon!
It's up to you to get the most out of your new body.
Emerge and head out at the Rampart Tower Site of Grace. Look to your right and you'll see a plate sticking out from the edge. This is intentional, to ask you to skip.
Make a jump by running over the big gap and you will complete it immediately by landing on a roof directly opposite. Get behind the two enemies patrolling the castle wall and enter the room they came out of.
Continue through the narrow balcony type passageway, then you will be one level above the Grafted Scion area boss. This is the spider-like creature that kills you during the opening of the game.
Don't jump down, instead go right and go up to the roof again. In front of you will be another room with a formidable knight enemy patrolling. You don't need to take it out, but it will make it easier for you to catch the Veil.
Inside this room is a raised platform with a treasure chest. Inside the chest you will find Mimic's Veil!

However, Mimic's Veil takes this to new heights by revealing just how brain-dead enemies can truly be. Because when using Mimic's Veil, the AI won't notice you unless you move.
It also seems to reduce detection range on the go, so it's great to get through open spaces covered by archers! Take advantage of this, but use our 'Invincible' build to see you in any melee!
Even more surprising – and potentially game-changing – this exploit is said to work on bosses as well. So, if there's a particular boss fight you need to open with a sneaky backstab, consider this tactic!

What is Mimic Veil?
This item of interest has the unique ability to transform the user into a nearby object form at the expense of FP. Hiding in some catacombs? Wait to turn into a statue. On the castle wall? Maybe wooden case. It's up to you to get the most out of your new body.

How to Leverage Elden Ring's Artificial Intelligence
It is common knowledge that the AI in FromSoftware's 'Souls series' is primitive by design and does not interfere with the player's skill test, creating any major surprises. However, Mimic's Veil takes this to new heights by revealing just how brain-dead enemies can truly be. Because when using Mimic's Veil, the AI won't notice you unless you move.
