Genshin Impact leaks confirm details of new Dendro reactions
Currently, Genshin Impact players are eagerly waiting for the Dendro characters. Since the realm belongs to Dendro Archon named Little Lord Kusanali, they will most likely come with Sumeru in version 3.0.Dendro is one of the seven elements in Genshin Impact, but is rare compared to the others. Currently, only certain enemies such as Slimes, Hilichurls, Samachurls, and Mitachurls can use this item during combat.
However, prominent leakers have recently discovered new Dendro reactions in the dossiers and here is everything there is to know about them.
Genshin Impact leak reveals key detail about Overgrown reaction
Overgrown and Condensed are two new reactions that occur when Dendro encounters Hydro and Electro, respectively. The effects of Overgrown and Intensified are as follows: when encountering the
overgrown
Hydro Dendro, some seeds fall to the ground and eventually become mushrooms. Each time these fungi come into contact with Hydro, they explode and disperse AoE Dendro HSR.
When the condensed
Electro encounters Dendro, a particle of Electro energy drops. Also, Electro and Dendro damage is increased for 7 seconds against afflicted enemies.
Naturally, players have many doubts about the workings of these new reactions. One such player asked the leaker if his Overgrown reaction affected both the enemy and the player. Apparently, the reaction affects both.
Will the Overgrown backlash disappoint Genshin Impact players?
It is important to understand that overgrown will not affect players every time they start it. Instead, it works like any other reaction in the game and only causes damage if an opponent can apply Hydro and Dendro together.
This could be a point of contention for players who will use Hydro characters like Xingqiu, Kokomi, and Barbara against their Dendro enemies, as they can apply the wet state to themselves or their group members through their abilities.
It should not be perceived as an overgrown unfair reaction. Taking damage from it is similar to taking Electro-Charged damage in the rain or taking Burning DMG when fighting Pyro characters on grass.
Having said that, the majority of players are more concerned about Dendro not reacting with Cryo, Geo and Anemo. It's understandable that Geo (rock) and Anemo (wind) don't react with Dendro (grass). However, Cryo is one of the core elements of the game and not being able to react to it would be a huge disadvantage for Dendro.
Travelers at the other end of the spectrum are confident that Intensified will act like an indirect Electro buff. The response certainly looks strong and could allow the Electro characters to finally take on DPS roles in Genshin Impact.
