Wondering how to activate the mechanism in Genshin Impact?

The Genshin Impact update 2.6 has arrived, bringing with it a lot of new content, including Ayaka's brother Ayato, a new Genshin Impact character in the current Genshin Impact banner, and a brand new area called Chasm.

In these mysterious underground mines, there is a series of quests you are asked to undertake as part of a world quest chain called 'The Chasm Delvers'. One of these quests, titled 'The Heavenly Stone's Debris', requires you to talk to Zhiqiong and then activate the Abyss mechanic. There are three mechanisms you need to enable to progress further.

However, some players find it difficult to activate these mechanisms due to the mysterious purple slime in between. You can remove this slime using the Lumenstone Adjuvant gadget, but you must first upgrade the gadget to the second level. Here is everything you need to know to activate the mechanism in Chasm in Genshin Impact.

HOW TO ENABLE THE MECHANISM

This part of the quest for The Heavenly Stone's Debris takes place in the Stoney Halls south of the main mining area in Chasm. The cave floor below you has three mechanisms marked on your map - but they're not working due to the purple leaking orbs known as Leaking Concretes nearby. To activate the mechanism, use your Lumenstone Adjuvant gadget to remove Leaked Concrete near the mechanism.

• The first mechanism is simple; eject the slime and then start the mechanism
• The second mechanism is very similar, but after removing the leak, you must defeat the enemy that appears before activating the mechanism.
• The third mechanism requires you to climb an abyss; The offending slime is just a short distance around the corner from the mechanism itself. After removing the leak, you can activate the final mechanism and complete the task.

If you're having trouble removing purple slime, keep in mind that your Lumenstone Adjuvant must be level two or higher to remove Oozing Concretions. It also needs to be recharged with energy from nearby blue orbs.

Talk to Jinwu to improve your Lumenstone Adjuvant. You need 16 Lumenspars to raise it to level one, and eight Lumenspars and one Lumenstone Ore to raise it to level two.

With a fully upgraded gadget, you will have no problems activating mechanisms and continuing the task.
