Halo Infinite brings back a classic split-screen multiplayer feature that is sure to appeal to fans of all kinds. While the core experience of the game is online, the split screen will offer the opportunity to play with your friends on the same system.

While Halo Infinite does have split-screen, it won't work as fans will remember from their collaborative days. Creating a PvP match and facing off against each other won't be an option, but players can still band together on the same screen and battle other teams in Halo Infinite multiplayer mode.

To start the split screen, a player must go to the main menu. From there, connect a second controller and the option to join will pop up in the lobby. This part of the process is simple, but the second player to join will need a valid Xbox account. Guest accounts will not work in this case.

As long as the Xbox account is working, the second player will join the fire team and will be able to queue up in the same match. This works for any game mode, including Quickplay or Big Team Battle. However, how many players can participate in split screen will depend on the system used and the game mode selected.
