Fans of the action RPG series will be delighted when the next mainline iteration of Kingdom Hearts is officially announced.The news was announced at the series' 20th Anniversary Event, held in Japan to commemorate the debut of the first game. The gala event shared new information about the popular series along with its official trailer.
The first Kingdom Hearts game was released on PlayStation 2 in March 2002. Launched as a collaboration between Square Enix and The Walt Disney Company, the series is set in an original fictional universe with the main character Sora at the center.
The last main episode of the series was released in 2019, and "The Legend of the Dark Seeker" broadcast has come to an end.

The recently completed 20th Anniversary Event set the stage for KH4 to unveil alongside a new mobile game called Missing-Link. A teaser trailer for KH4 was shown at the event, and fans will definitely be excited to learn what Square Enix has in store for them.The trailer started with these lines: As
the voiceover ends, an ominous black hole begins to form in the city of Quadratum. The frame changes to give viewers a glimpse of Sora waking up on the couch. He is then shown using a Keyblade while upshifting to knock down a dark shadowy entity emerging from the aforementioned hole in the city.
The cinematic quickly changes from the title for a moment to what looks like a gameplay footage. Sora jumps and grapples with multiple obstacles to reach the entity before entering the void. The scene ends with an image of hooded figures and a gloomy line:
"However, if you leave this world behind, don't expect to return to the world you came from."
The trailer finally ends with a look at Donald Duck and Goofy walking in a dark place and looking for a mysterious "it". They are greeted by a blue flame and someone asking where they are going. Here's what the press release trailer explains: In the
announcement trailer, Sora makes a triumphant return with an updated look at the beginning of an epic new story titled "Lost Master Arc." Beginning with Sora facing off against a giant enemy in a boss fight, players are introduced to the Quadratum, a large, expansive city set in a gorgeous, realistic world never seen before in the KINGDOM HEARTS series.

Fans will be excited to see the return of Sora's well-known friends Donald and Goofy, in addition to the first appearance of Strelitzia, a mysterious new character who appears before Sora in this strange new setting."
Although the game has been officially announced, Kingdom Hearts 4' The press release states that this look at Sora's next adventure is just the beginning, and they "can't wait to show more when the time comes." Nor were any details on the game's launch platforms.
