Lost Ark skill stones guide
Looking for help with Lost Ark skill stones?Talent stones are part of the engraving system in Lost Ark. For a full explanation of the mechanics, you can refer to our Lost Ark engraving guide, but to summarize, engravings are passive effects with three different levels of effect. To activate each tier, you must accumulate a certain number of engraving points – five for the first tier, ten for the second tier, and fifteen for the third tier.
You encounter engravings as you level up in Lost Ark, but until the end of the game – after level 50 – they really come into play. This is when you can obtain items that earn you a significant amount of engraving points, including Lost Ark skill stones dropped from endgame raids and dungeons. They are produced with two random war engravings and one random negative or 'malus' engraving.
However, skill stones don't provide any engraving points until they're directional. The faceting process is somewhat complicated and depends on luck, but if you're smart about it, you can maximize your chances of getting more engraving points. Here's everything you need to know about sculpting skill stones in Lost Ark.
The faceting process is essentially taking a raw stone with a certain amount of natural potential and trying to get the best possible result by cutting it and making it shiny. However, because chiseling is a fine art, there is a chance that something will go wrong in the process and parts will break or accidentally lead to bad results instead of good ones.
It's incredibly unlikely that everything will go perfectly in the faceting process, so you might go through a pile of stones and silver before you get lucky with a good result. For T3 content, parties are generally looking for gems that each have +7 points in positive engraving and less than five points in negative engraving. +6 is standard for each engraving for T2 content.
To the right of each engraving is a chisel button displaying the silver fee for each facet attempt. Above this is the success rate starting from 75% and the crack chance percentage values; Each time you succeed, this percentage decreases and likewise increases when you fail.
Remember that there are two positive and one negative engravings on each stone, so ideally we want to succeed in our attempts to channel our positive engravings and fail in our attempts to facet the negative. Therefore, if you are unlikely to be successful with your next facet, you should try to facet the negative engraving. Similarly, if you are likely to succeed, you should try to embroider one of your positive engravings. If there is an engraving that you value more than the other, you may want to save your highest odds and safest shots for that engraving.
Talent stones also have bonus effects that can be applied if you make consecutive successful facet attempts. When all trials are over and each diamond is full or grayed out, you can finally equip the skill stone.
If you end up with a dud, you can disenchant your stone and exchange the byproduct with a stone cutter for more skill stones.

HOW TO SHAPE TALENT STONES IN LOST ARK?

The main panel shows engravings on the selected stone, with a set of blank diamonds below each engraving. These are potential scraping points that can be unlocked by chipping, but there is a big chance as every chipping attempt has a dynamic chance of succeeding – unlocking an engraving point – or failing, graying out the empty slot and processing. it doesn't work. The higher rarity skill stone has more of these empty potential slots. To the right of each engraving is a chisel button displaying the silver fee for each facet attempt.
