Major Swain updates set to hit League of Legends PBE patch 12.8 cycle: All passive changes, ultimate tweaks and more
The changes that the developers plan to ship with the next official patch will first make their way to the PBE 12.8 cycle today. The League of Legends co-game designer has provided a glimpse of some of the changes fans can expect to arrive in the Noxian tactician's kit next patch.
According to the developer, Swain's changes will focus more on his support role to help his time spent in the solo lane and give him more flexible options for team compositions.
To offset this, many quality of life updates will be on the way, along with some ability nerfs.
All Swain updates expected in League of Legends patch 12.8
While talking about some of the goals behind Swain settings, Riot suggested:"This version of Swain is intended to draw some of his instantaneous power to invest in Swain's fantasy of being a sewer tanker terror while in R. We're increasing how often Swain can use R, and removing the "tick clock" for how long he'll use it.
"Can stay in . form. It can go endlessly as long as it consumes enemies. Within the Q/E/R changes, we've shifted power from Passive withdrawal allies to more agencies for the Swain player. As always, numbers can always change before shipment." It's important to note that they may not be fully reflected in the update
