The best Elden Ring armor sets
The best Elden Ring armor sets
Looking for the best armor sets in Elden Ring? In this RPG game, upgrading your weapons using Elden Ring smithing stones and Ashes of War is just as important as upgrading your character. However, Elden Ring armor tends to be overlooked by comparison – many players spend several hours wearing the same gear. However, unlike in real life, not changing your clothes for days on end is somewhat understandable in the Elden Ring, as impressive gear is hard to come by – especially when compared to other methods of upgrading your build like Elden Ring talismans. However, the best Elden Ring armor is far from useless. There are some armor sets out there that come with powerful abilities, but their usefulness largely depends on what type of character you're building. If you have a fashion-conscious Tarnished, Elden Ring makes finding armor that is both protective and stylish is hard to come by, but it's definitely doable if you know where to look.
There are three ways to earn armor sets in Elden Ring: kill the same enemies over and over until you drop all of their sets, kill a specific enemy to gain all their items, or find the equipment in a hidden chest. Here's everything you need to know about the best Elden Ring armor sets, including where to find them and what bonuses they provide.
Best Elden Ring armor sets:
- Twins
- Monster Champion
- clean rot
- Noble God Skin
- alberich
- snow witch
- Lusat's Glitter Stone
- Azur's Glitter Stone
TWIN SET
When it comes to choosing stylish armor sets, you'll have a hard time finding something as elegant as the Twinned Set. The medium weight armor set includes a pair of gold and silver twins strung together to create a beautiful piece. The easiest way to obtain this set is to kill D Hunter early in the game - you can find him near the first Site of Grace in Limgrave.Killing the D Hunter is the easiest but not the best - we recommend completing Fia's Elden Ring questline to get the Twin Set as a reward. If you killed D Hunter and want to complete Fia's quest, you must seek forgiveness at the Church of the Vows. Atonement for your sins brings D Hunter back to life and gives you another chance to complete Fia's quest.
MONSTER CHAMPION SET
As with D's Twinned armor set, you can obtain the Beast Champion set later in the game at the cost of a quest line. Bernahl is the armor-wearing NPC - he can be found at the Warmaster's Shack Site of Grace, between Stormhill Shack and Saintsbridge. You can get Bernahl's full armor set and Devourer's Scepter. At this early stage of the game, you may find that the Monster Champion set is very heavy - make sure to add lots of stats to stamina if you want to be able to roll normally.
CLEAN ROD SET
Cleanrot armor is difficult to obtain, as each piece of the set is dropped by a specific enemy; this means you have to fight against the same enemies over and over until you have all the items. To find the Cleanrot Knights, go to the Swamp of Aeonia in Caelid. This enemy isn't particularly hard to kill, but there are many swampy areas that can trigger the Scarlet Rot status effect if you're not careful. You can increase your chances of discovering items by using the Silver Pickled Chicken Foot or the Silver Scarab talisman and the Silver Tear Mask helmet.GOD SKIN NOBLE SUIT
Want to show off your high faith in Gandalf-like outfits? There are two variants of the Godskin Noble armor set: a thinner version of the robes can be found in the Caelid Elden Ring Divine Tower, and a larger set can be easily obtained by going to the bridge to the Liurnia Divine Tower. In order to reach the bridge, you need to get the Inverted Caria Statue from Ranni during the quest. Place the statue on the pedestal in the Carian Study Hall and proceed towards the bottom of the tower. Open the big door to find a Godskin Noble foe on the bridge; Kill him to instantly get the great Godskin Noble armor set.
ALBERICH'S SET
Alberich's light armor set with red glitter stones on the hat, robes and suspenders was designed for mages. This equipment also has a bonus set that increases the damage of blood mages by almost 20%. Note that there are only two blood spells in the entire game, but that doesn't matter because this set looks great. To find Alberich's armor set, go to the West Capital Rampart Site of Grace. Go down the stairs and turn left, descending to ground level as you come across a large church. Enter the church and find the corpse at the end of the room, loot it to get this unique armor set.
SNOW WITCH SET
The Snow Witch armor is the hardest to find on this list, but it looks great and provides a number of bonuses that increase the damage of freezing spells. You have to complete most of Ranni's quest until you find Death's Curse. This item allows you to travel to the Rise of Renna - go to the top floor of this tower to find a chest behind the elevator room. The chest includes the Snow Witch hat, robe and skirt, giving you the option to choose your favorite bracelets to pair with this armor set.LUSAT'S BRIGHT TEAM
To become the ultimate mage, you need the right outfit to blast your spells. There are two special armor sets that can only be obtained by completing Sellen's questline. We highly recommend checking out LunarGaming's guide on YouTube, which explains all the steps required to complete the mission. It's worth noting that this quest cannot be completed without giving Sellen at least one spell scroll. If you give your scrolls to Miriel, the Priest of the Oaths in the Church of the Vows, Sellen will not trust you enough to go on this important mission. The final step in Sellen's quest is asking you to side with him or Jerren the Witch Hunter - if you take Jerren's side you will lose access to both armor sets, so be sure to choose Sellen. Once Sellen has turned into a rock, head back to Lusat at Sellia Hideaway to find her full armor set.
BRIGHT TEAM OF AZUR
Primordial Mage Azur doesn't speak to you when you meet him on Mount Gelmir, but rewards you with Comet Azur, one of the best spells in the entire game. If you complete Sellen's quest, Elden will disappear completely, leaving behind the most dripping armor set in the Ring. Meet the Sorcerer Sellen inside the Waypoint Ruins in Limgrave to start this questline. When the quest is complete, return to Azur on Mount Gelmir to find his armor. These are the best armor sets in Elden Ring.
