Elden Ring's narrative isn't exactly straightforward. Much of the story is left to interpretation. Here are some of the most interesting Elden Ring fan theories!

Elden Ring's knowledge is slowly coming together with a passionate community trying to find FromSoftware's latest game.

And while most of the gaps have been filled, people still like to speculate. That's where these fan theories come into play.

Here are some of the more interesting Elden Ring fan theories at the moment, along with their proofs and explanations.

Some of the Best Hands-On Ring Fan Theories Ever

We'll start with a light-hearted and simpler one before Elden Ring's launch.

Many Elden Ring players believe that FromSoftware calls it Spectral Steed, Torrent to try and stop piracy.

For those unaware, the “Torrent” process is the uploading or downloading of a file over a BitTorrent Network. It allows peer-to-peer file sharing, where torrent users can share files with multiple people at the same time. Or users can download from multiple locations simultaneously.

Those who want to use the game as a pirate can write Elden Ring Torrent and get information about our reliable mount. The pirates have been stopped!

Unfortunately, this fan theory is likely to be wrong. Game hackers usually know what they're doing and where to find them, and so-called Elden Ring was pirated on launch day.

This will likely mean that it would be some sort of urban legend for Torrent to be named to slow piracy. Still, this article is a fun one to start with.

The Age of Absolute Mystery Ends

Elden Ring has six endings, each with different access requirements and different outcomes. However, players believe that a seventh ending has yet to be found.

Thanks to a mix of data mining, hacked content, and an April Fools joke, players pursue the mysterious secret ending.

While no one has really seen the end yet, if it does, people have theorized based on the name and other evidence.

Supposedly, Absolute Age theories revolve around the player becoming a god or interacting with the gods. The title “Absolute” can be defined in full or in its entirety.

People believe that Two Fingers and Three Fingers will form to create Five Fingers. While it's a bit out there, it would make sense if the ending was really about completion and precision.

So why do people believe this ending is real? Well, there are some unfinished quests, items that serve no real purpose, and some characters in the main game that have a bigger role than they actually play, for example Sir Gideon Ofnir.

Some of these quests include Nepheli Loux and Kenneth Haight's questlines, which were initially corrupted. However, a key to this theory has been put in the works, thanks to FromSoftware's patching of broken tasks in a recent patch.

Is There a Hidden Ending?

The players decided to say that you have to do 100% of everything in the game to get the finish. However, this idea hits his head if we take into account that many players get all the achievements in the game and some manage to complete the game more than 100 times.

All that being said, is there a secret ending? Maybe. An ending would certainly be hard to hide, but for a game of this size, it's possible for secrets to be found weeks after launch.

However, the hidden ending is more likely to be simply truncated content. Or something to add later with Elden Ring DLC. But you never know!
Elden Ring Is The Origin Of Other FromSoftware Titles

Some people believe that although Elden Ring is the latest FromSoftware game, it is actually the starting point for Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, and Bloodborne.

Started by user u/theodis09 under the title “My Crackpot Theory” (we assume it works), this theory states that each of the three major endings of Elden Ring set the stage for the Dark Souls series, Demon's Souls, and Bloodborne.

Age of Stars Ends – Bloodborne

Thanks to Elden Ring's knowledge, we know that distant stars are not just stars but different gods. The creator of the theory states that the end of Age of Stars invites humanity to worship the Outer Gods.

These gods are invited from different realms, forming a community called Pthumerians to hear their wisdom. For those unaware, the Pthumerians in Bloodborne are said to have superhuman abilities thanks to the wisdom imparted to them from Eldritch Truth when they encounter the "Great Ones".

The Outer Gods eventually leave, leaving society to crumble in their absence. Only a few gods remained, and the creator stated that these gods remaining in Bloodborne are the "Ancients".

Crazy Flame End – Dark Souls

According to u/theodis09, the chaotic ending of Frenzied Flame allegedly led to the beginning of Dark Souls theory.

When the Frenzied Flame ended, the world turned to ash. Dragons conquer the world, and Erdtree's seeds grow into great trees.

The Creator believes that the ashes from the Wild Flame, long thought to have been extinguished, have finally caught fire again. This leads to Gwyn's Age of Fire and the events of the Dark Souls series.
Fateful Death End – Demon's Souls

Compared to previous endings, this part of the theory definitely requires more proof to prove, but it's here nonetheless.

u/theodis09 suggests that the fog seen at the end of Destined Death feels like Demon's Souls. Bet against the fact that the return of Death in Destiny increases the importance of "Spirit".

Thanks to the idea that the soul is more important, the Demons start chasing them for a higher power.

While these theories are simply theories, it's fun to consider any of them as well as possible.
