The worldwide promotion of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has dropped. The gameplay trailer of the highly anticipated sequel has just been released and has taken the internet by storm. 

While fans have been clamoring since the upcoming iteration's release date was announced, the franchise has never seen such hype before.

The game now has a confirmed release date and is available for players to pre-purchase on all platforms. Players who pre-purchase the game will have exclusive early access to the open beta.

Recently, Call of Duty released the official trailer of Modern Warfare 2 on their YouTube account. It broke the internet the moment it was published. All the innovative new elements shown in the trailer are making fans increasingly impatient for the game to drop.

With expectations skyrocketing, the developers claim that the game will be the best CoD game in history. At launch, the game will bring a global campaign, immersive multiplayer, and a narrative-driven Special Operations.

When is Modern Warfare 2 expected?

As Infinity Ward previously announced, the much-anticipated sequel will be out on October 28.
Platforms

The game will come to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The PC version is playable on both Steam and Battle.Net.

Price

All platforms now have two digital versions for pre-purchase. The base game, which will have early access to the Open Beta, has an MSRP of $69.99 or regional equivalent. The Cross-Gen Bundle will be available for all previously mentioned consoles.

For PC gamers, the base edition is called the Standard Edition and the price is the same.

The game will be available for pre-order as a physical disc version for all consoles. However, the PlayStation 5 version does not include the PS4 version of Modern Warfare 2.

The game is without a doubt the most exciting COD game in the franchise's history. While fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the Open beta, the access date has not yet been announced by Activision. However, Open Beta testing is expected to take place before the official release date.
