How to find Old Albus in Elden Ring?
Old Albus is a very important NPC in the Elden Ring that players can pass right by if they are not aware of its existence.Albinauric tries to hide from the "disaster" of his village in Liurnia of the Lakes. Disguised as a pot in a dark tunnel, players may not notice it at first.
He is resting on the way to the Grace Land Village of the Albinaurics in Liurnia, west of the lakes. When found, it provides one of the most vital, key items in the entire Elden Ring.
This is how Elden Ring players can find Old Albus in the game.
To find Old Albus, players will first need to access the Liurnia of the Lakes region. This area can be found northwest of the Limgrave starting area. Players will have to work hard to get there.Accessible after completing Stormveil Castle, which typically features players defeating the Grafted Godrick and taking the passage under the throne room.
Additionally, players can avoid the castle completely by following a narrow cliff path around it. This trail is at the east end of the castle in north Stormhill and is much less dangerous than the castle itself.
After reaching Liurnia of the Lakes, here's how Elden Ring players can get to Old Albus:
- After entering the area from Stormveil Castle, travel northwest.
- Follow the westbound road on the west side of the great body of water.
- Players will pass through key locations such as the Slumbering Wolf's Shake and Lunar Estate Ruins.
- From the Lunar Estate Ruins there is a direct route to Albus.
- When a fork appears in the road, take the north fork.
- This is the road to Albinaurik Village and the Grace District of the same name.
- Defeat the Perfumery enemy blocking the way and keep moving forward.
- Stick to the wall of the structure and go through the tunnel-like passage.
- Next to a tree just in front of the village is a pot that can be shot.
- This is Old Albus.
- Hit the pot and Old Albus will show himself in disguise.
In the second set of dialogue, he will introduce himself, explain why he is hiding in that place as a pot, and ask the Elden Ring player to guard a special coin.
This is the right half of the Haligtree Secret Locket. Players paired with the left half found in Mountaintops of Giants can use the full Medallion to access the Grand Lift of Rold.
Grand Lift of Rold explains how players can reach the Consecrated Snowfield area. This area is home to a large number of Smithing Stones of all three types, as well as many powerful enemies.
