How to sign up for the second closed beta for Overwatch 2?
The first beta started at the end of April 2022 and lasted for three weeks. It ended midway through the following May, giving lucky participants about three weeks with the game. Additionally, players were given hands-on experience with one of the game's newest heroes, Sojourn, on several maps and the new 5v5 PvP format instead of Overwatch's 6v6.
However, only PC players were given a chance during Overwatch 2's initial beta testing. The next beta test, scheduled for June 28, 2022, will launch for PlayStation and Xbox (via Battle.net) in addition to PC.
Similar to the previous beta test, players will need to sign up for it as well. As this will be a closed beta, only a select few players will be able to participate. Here's how to sign up for the June 28 beta for Overwatch 2.
Players can sign up for the second closed beta starting June 16.
Step 2: Visit Overwatch 2's beta registration site.
Step 3: Sign in with your Battle.net account. There is a login option at the top right.
Step 4 : Scroll to the bottom and sign up.
There is no guarantee that everyone who registers will receive an invitation. Closed betas allow a limited number of participants, unlike an open beta, where almost anyone can join. Additionally, the beta period has not yet been announced. The final beta test took three weeks.
Overwatch 2's second closed beta introduces Junker Queen
A nice reveal was given to the newest hero in Overwatch 2 during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. She is called the 'Junker Queen'. This makes him the second hero released for the sequel, the first being Sojourn. Players were able to play Sojourn during the first closed beta.
Junker Queen takes on the role of a tank, uses a shotgun in gunfights, and switches to a two-handed ax when enemies get a little too close. Her outfit has a very raider-like aesthetic.
Fans will be given a hands-on experience with Junker Queen, provided they are invited to the second closed beta. This was announced on Overwatch's official Twitter page. The Tweet also revealed a brand new map that will be coming to the next closed beta.
Apart from that, the PvP mode will be free and is scheduled to launch on October 4, 2022.
