Skull and Bones release date reportedly leaked along with pre-order bonus for this year
Skull and Bones release date reportedly leaked along with pre-order bonus for this year
Many thought that Skull and Bones would never see the light of day after spending nearly a decade in development. Inspired by the naval battles of Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Ubisoft's title has remained far from players until now. If recent leaks are to be believed, the company is not only ready to announce the title in the near future, but gamers will be playing the game later this year.
Skull and Bones was first announced at E3 2017 and the expected release date was Q3/Q4 2018 and was later delayed. Players were then watched step-by-step through the cinematic clip of the announcement trailer and 2018 gameplay, which bears a striking resemblance to the previous AC title. However, the title saw multiple changes in direction and target, resulting in excessive lag.
Skull and Bones will reportedly launch in November this year
Aggiornamenti Lumia recently claimed on Twitter that the Fall release date of Skull and Bones is November 8, 2022. The user also stated that an official announcement is imminent and provided a list of pre-order bonuses that players will enjoy.
Bonuses are as follows:
Legacy Mission of Bloody Bones
Ashen Corsair Mission
Smuggler Pass Icon
Digital Soundtrack and Artbook
Premium Bonus Package
Interestingly, the post-date tweet got a response from popular industry insider Tom Henderson, who ostensibly approved. Henderson had previously revealed that Ubisoft is preparing to announce the long-awaited game in July. Recently, the game received its official rating for PC, Google Stadia, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in Brazil.
The gameplay for Skull and Bones was also leaked in April 2022. The video showcased naval battles reportedly focused on completing contracts, finding treasures, looting, and raising the player's infamy. The higher the notoriety, the more opportunities they will have in their goal of becoming the greatest pirates to ever sail these waters.
The title will feature various types of ships with different types of weapons to fight. Like the Black Flag, they can be customized, upgraded, and restocked at ports. Players will also have to consider the morale of their crew.
While Summer Game Fest 2022 has concluded with the ceremony, this summer is definitely looking good with new announcements, trailers and information. A number of games are said to be on show over the next few weeks, including Skull and Bones, Hogwarts Legacy, and God of War: Ragnarok.
With the multiplayer naval launch date announced by insiders, fans are hoping it's only a matter of time before Ubisoft officially announces the game.
