The prequel gained a lot of attention after it was added to Xbox Game Pass. Since then, fans have been on the edge of their seats to see where the adventures of Amicia and her sister Hugo will take the story. Fortunately, fans have finally heard of the next entry in the game in the form of A Plague Tale: Requiem.

With this incredibly recent announcement, it's understandable if players have any questions about this game. Many gamers want to know if they can play on other platforms besides Xbox. Players may also want to know when this game will be released for them to play.

A Plague Tale: Lament - What we know so far

From what has emerged, we know that the game will be released on October 18, 2022. Players who are interested in the game can also start pre-ordering. So what will be the systems where this game will be released? Will players be able to experience the story on previous generation hardware?

Unfortunately, A Plague Tale: Requiem will not be available on every platform where the prequel is playable. But the prequel, Innocence, is playable on PS4, Xbox One, and Amazon Luna. Requiem is only available on current generation hardware. However, a cloud version will be available for Switch.

However, after seeing how the Nintendo Switch cloud versions of the Kingdom Hearts collection are going for the system, Switch players may want to leave it out.
