Expanding the Xiaomi 12 series, the Chinese giant is apparently working on a number of models, including the Xiaomi 12S series, Xiaomi 12 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Lite. The first will showcase Leica optics on a Xiaomi phone for the first time and is scheduled to launch on July 4. While the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is believed to be a premium flagship offering, the Xiaomi 12 Lite as the name suggests will be a budget model. Recently, live images of the phone have surfaced online, hinting at what's to come.

Now, noteworthy leakster Evan Blass has shared high-quality images of the Xiaomi 12 Lite online. These not only reveal the entire design of the phone, but also reveal the color options. We can clearly see that the phone is built on the standard Xiaomi 12.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite design looks very familiar if you've seen the Xiaomi 12. It has a hole-in-the-center cutout for selfies, straight edges, and thin bezels. There's a volume rocker and power button on the right edge, while nothing on the left spine. The phone has angular edges similar to iPhones.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor combined with 8GB of RAM and Adreno 642L GPU for graphics. It's likely to launch MIUI 13 custom skin based on Android 12 out of the box.

As the images suggest, the Xiaomi 12 Lite will have a 108MP primary shooter, which could be the Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensor. The handset will have an FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. We have not yet learned about the other features of the phone.
