F1 22 Known Issues, Bugs, and Workarounds

F1 22 has just been released and players are extremely excited to play it. The game is surprisingly well optimized and also plays really great. However, the game still has some bugs here and there. That said, we've included a full list of F1 22 known issues and bugs in this article.

As of yet, there doesn't seem to be any fixes for these particular issues from the developers themselves. But as you can see below, some workarounds have already been posted by curious fans. Crash on Loading Screen

Even though the game is well optimized, there are some issues that plague the game. So, the crashing issue on the loading screen. Unfortunately, some players are facing an issue that causes the game to crash immediately when starting their team career. For now, the only fix for this seems to be to check if the game files launch at your screen's native resolution. You can also check if you meet the system requirements and update your graphics drivers.

No Commentary or Engine Sound

This is a rare issue but some players have reported it. You may have noticed that there are no commentators or engine sounds. You cannot hear the voice lines of the commentator while the subtitles are still displayed. The developers are working hard to fix this issue and it should be resolved in the next update.

Steering Not Detected

Since this is a racing game, many players will prefer to play using the steering wheel. Unfortunately, some players have reported that their steering wheel is not detected by the game. This forces you to use a controller or keyboard. For now, we don't know why this issue occurs, but the fix seems to be to disconnect your keyboard. If that doesn't work for you, we'll have to wait and see what the developers have to say.

Split Timer Not Working Properly

During a race, the spit timer does not always work properly. Sometimes you can see it but other times you can't see it anywhere. If you want to see if you have improved your split time, it can be quite difficult as there is no timer to tell you.

Restricted Online Access

Surprisingly, this is an issue faced by many players. When you want to play online you get an error saying something on the "verify file integrity" line. As the error states, you need to verify the integrity of the game's files and then restart your computer. This will fix the issue, but if not, you can wait and try again. There are a few online issues at the moment as the game is in early access.

These are just a few of the issues players are currently facing in F1 22. Note that as of today the game is in early access so there must be some issues. But the developers are working hard to fix these and they should be fixed in an update or two.
