When do you unlock Followers in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak?
When do you unlock Followers in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak?
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is finally here and available on PC and Nintendo Switch. Fans of the game will once again follow new creatures, collect new monster parts and complete new quests in Elgado. Naturally, the DLC also brings with it new weapons, armors and new features like Kittennator for Palicos.
More importantly, this is an opportunity for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players to dust off their old guns and get together with friends in a multiplayer experience. While the game always supports solo play, and players can do so privately, fans have a lot of value in teaming up with other hunters to take on vicious monsters.
But for those who still prefer to be confident or don't want to get into the social aspect of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, there's a new feature that can be incredibly useful: Followers. These are AI controller companions that players can take with them in-game.
If the idea of getting a little more help outside of Palicos sounds great, here's how to unlock Followers in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
How to Unlock Followers with a quest in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
To unlock Followers in the game, players will need to complete the Scarlet Tengy quest in the Temple Ruins. This is a Master Rank 2 Urgent Quest, so it's not particularly difficult, but still necessary. Up to this point, Followers will not be available.
Unfortunately, the mission is also tied to the Sunbreak DLC. This means that if players are hoping to unlock Followers, they must first access the Sunbreak DLC. Unlocking Sunbreak DLC has its own prerequisites. To access the new DLC, players must first complete the 7-star hub quest Serpent Goddess of Thunder.
Sunbreak is no joke though, and players should be prepared with the proper gear before moving forward. In fact, Capcom has added the Black Belt Layered armor set along with Defender weapons to help new and returning players prepare for Sunbreak.
Once the Sunbreak DLC is unlocked, players can unlock Followers by doing the following:
Step 1: Master the Temple Ruins Grade 2 Immediate Mission Finishing Scarlet Tengu.
Step 2: Talk to Quest Damsel Chichae.
Step 3: Selecting Follower Tasks or Support Surveys.
Support Polls give Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players the option to go on a hunt with the Follower of their choice. However, to unlock more Followers, players must first complete the Follower Quests.
This isn't the only way Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak fans can get more Followers. The entire region of Elgado has people to talk to, and by doing so, players can unlock new Followers to accompany them. Finally, playing the campaign also unlocks Followers naturally.
Every Follower on Sunbreak is worth unlocking. In doing so, players can earn special weapons and armor as craftable items that the Blacksmith will happily craft.
